Our Hemp Paste™ is made from the whole hemp plant, which includes high levels of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes. In the interest of maintaining the medicinal integrity of the plant, we decarboxylate the cannabinoids by cooking at a low temperature in medically superior MCT oil. This process efficiently preserves and bonds fatty acids to the delicate cannabinoids. This allows easy passage through the blood brain barrier upon consumption.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the Hemp Paste being whole plant, there may be variations in flavor and consistency, including but not limited to spiciness, bitterness, grittiness, dryness, oiliness, and other conditions. The Hemp Paste has not gone rancid, nor is there anything wrong with it. If it is too dry, coconut oil may be added until the desired consistency is attained. Different strains will have different terpene profiles and flavanoids that will play a role in the flavor of the Hemp Paste.
Lab tests show that 99% of the terpenes are destroyed in the CBD oil extraction method. This is why we do not extract the oil from the hemp plant. Recent research points to the “entourage effect”, which highlights the exponential power in the full spectrum of the plant. Isolating only CBD has NO “entourage effect”. The only way to get the “entourage effect” is to preserve the terpenes and all the delicate cannabinoids. The method by which we make our Hemp Paste™ allows for the preservation of terpenes and cannabinoids.
